Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Software Engineer (SQL & Java).

Salary:

– €27,550–€35,820 yearly

Employment type:

– Full-time employment

Work arrangement:

– Hybrid work based in Nicosia

Main duties:

– Develop, debug, maintain, support and validate mission-critical payment software.

– Build solutions with Java Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Oracle PL/SQL.

– Support clients throughout implementation and the software lifecycle.

– Investigate defects, deliver corrective fixes and escalate issues when necessary.

– Follow engineering standards and participate in Agile ceremonies.

– Take ownership of assigned work and contribute to DevOps practices.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.

– Zero to four or more years of relevant experience.

– Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and object-oriented programming.

– Knowledge of relational-database concepts, SQL and a procedural database language.

– Strong English.

– Availability for occasional rotational 24-hour on-call support and future travel for certifications, installation, training, user acceptance testing or operational support.

– UNIX or Linux, Oracle development and tuning, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, REST APIs or AI experience is an advantage.
