Senior Journalist – English Speaking at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Senior Journalist – English Speaking.

Salary:

– €1,500–€1,800 per month.

Employment type:

– Full-time, permanent employment.

Work arrangement:

– On-site in Nicosia.

Main duties:

– Write original English-language news stories, features and interviews.

– Cover business, technology, lifestyle and current affairs.

– Produce in-depth reporting and long-form features.

– Maintain and expand a network of sources.

– Translate Greek news into English.

– Edit and review other writers’ articles and verify information through research.

– Collaborate with editors and the wider media team.

– Mentor junior writers.

– Represent the publication at press events, briefings and conferences.

Requirements:

– At least three years of professional journalism experience.

– University degree in Journalism, Communication, Media Studies or a related subject.

– Excellent written English and Greek and the ability to translate between them.

– Experience in journalism or content creation, with strong research and storytelling skills.

– Familiarity with digital media and online publishing.

– Teamwork and reliable delivery to deadlines.
