Accounts Payable Officer

About the Role

An established and fast-growing real estate and development group is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join its Finance team in Limassol.

This is a hands-on position offering full ownership of the accounts payable function across multiple entities. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations, and VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier and contractor invoices accurately and on time
• Verify invoices against supporting documentation and contracts
• Manage invoice approvals and follow up on outstanding authorizations
• Prepare weekly payment runs and online banking payments
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
• Ensure the correct VAT treatment of invoices
• Maintain supplier records and master data
• Keep documentation organized and audit-ready
• Support internal and external audit requirements

Requirements

Essential

• 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience working within a multi-entity environment
• Good understanding of Cypriot VAT regulations
• Experience using SAP Business One or a similar ERP system
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Fluency in both Greek and English

Preferred

• Experience within real estate, construction, or development
• Exposure to contractor invoices and payment certifications
• LCCI Higher, AAT, ACCA, or a degree in Accounting or Finance
