Senior Financial Accountant at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Senior Financial Accountant.

Salary:

• €30,000–€40,000 gross per year, plus a 13th salary

Employment type:

• Full-time

Work arrangement:

• On-site in Nicosia.

Main duties:

• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare or review bookkeeping entries and accounting reports.
• Liaise with auditors, support the audit process and review invoices from clients, suppliers and associates.
• Monitor creditor, debtor and bank-statement reconciliations.
• Support annual and interim IFRS financial statements, quarterly reports, management accounts, cash-flow reports and other statutory, legal and regulatory reporting.
• Support budgets and financial projections, monitor performance and take proactive follow-up action where needed.
• Support VAT and corporate-income-tax returns in line with Cyprus legislation.
• Review daily revenue recognition and receipts, fund transactions and administrator-calculated net asset values.
• Guide the accounting team and maintain effective relationships with advisers, authorities and banks.

Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and at least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in an accounting, audit, fiduciary or professional-services firm is preferred; partial or full ACCA qualification is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation, VAT and accounting software.
• Ability to lead a small team, work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Excellent spoken and written Greek and English.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Schedule:

• Friday afternoons off.
