On behalf of our client, a well-established accounting and professional services firm based in Larnaca, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join its growing team.

The firm provides high-quality accounting, payroll, tax, and corporate services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. Role Overview

As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process for multiple client companies, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance with Cyprus legislation, and timely statutory submissions. You will work closely with clients, government authorities, and the internal accounting team to deliver high-quality payroll services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of client companies accurately and within deadlines
  • Communicate with clients to collect, verify, and update payroll information
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records
  • Process salary adjustments, back pay, bonuses, and termination payments
  • Prepare and submit statutory payroll returns, including IR7 and IR63
  • Handle registrations with the Tax Department, Social Insurance Services, and Ergani
  • Ensure the accurate calculation of payroll taxes, Social Insurance contributions, and statutory deductions
  • Monitor payroll compliance with Cyprus legislation and reporting deadlines
  • Assist with month-end payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Provide payroll support and resolve client payroll-related queries

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in Payroll Administration or a related Accounting role
  • Good knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation, Social Insurance, Tax regulations, and statutory payroll procedures
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software (BTMS Payroll will be considered an advantage)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Capable of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • High level of integrity with a proactive and positive attitude
