Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality under the supervision of senior kitchen employees.
  • Ensure that food is prepared on time and in sufficient quantities for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support in checking daily food requirements.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
  • Adapt recipes and portions based on dietary requirements or special requests.
  • Support to ensure proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent spoilage and contamination.
  • Support to ensure that all food items are labelled and stored in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines and internal protocols.
  • Work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours or large events.
  • Support training of junior staff or kitchen assistants when needed.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately to the Chef.
  • Collaborate with service team members to ensure seamless service flow.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort setting.
  • Excellent communication in English is essential. Fluency in Greek is a strong advantage.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen safety.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a high-energy, team-focused environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Professional appearance and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of portioning and kitchen best practices.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Applicants must hold EU nationality without the need for a visa sponsor.
