Position: Junior Compliance Officer

Location: Limassol (On-site)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00

 

On behalf of our client, a Cyprus-based, CySEC-regulated investment firm operating within the online trading and financial services sector, we are looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join their growing team in Limassol. The company operates within a modern and technology-driven trading environment, providing clients with access to international financial markets, including stocks and ETFs. With a strong focus on regulatory standards, responsible business practices and client protection, this is an opportunity to develop your compliance career while gaining hands-on exposure to key areas of regulatory compliance.

 

The Role

As a Compliance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day compliance function and contribute to maintaining the company’s internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. You will work across areas including AML/KYC, regulatory monitoring, marketing compliance and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day business activities and maintain accurate internal compliance records, including complaints and conflicts of interest registers.
• Support AML and KYC processes by reviewing higher-risk client files and carrying out PEP and sanctions screening.
• Review marketing materials, promotional campaigns and affiliate content to ensure they meet applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of information and documentation required for periodic regulatory submissions and compliance reports.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communications from CySEC, ESMA and other relevant authorities, supporting updates to internal policies and procedures.
• Provide general compliance support to management and assist with additional regulatory and administrative tasks as required.

 

Requirements

• CySEC Advanced Certificate and CySEC AML Certificate.
• University degree, preferably in Law, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in compliance within a CIF or financial services environment.
• Good understanding of regulatory compliance and the ability to interpret and apply relevant CySEC and EU requirements.
• Good knowledge of financial services and financial markets.
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a regulated environment.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and digital documentation/reporting systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and on-site in Limassol.
