Marine Officer (Wet Cargo)

A well-established shipping company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Officer – Wet Cargo to join its Marine Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and monitoring marine operations, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, with a particular focus on the safe and efficient operation of tanker vessels.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and support the safe and efficient marine operations of the company’s tanker fleet.
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, including ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, and applicable industry standards.
Oversee cargo handling operations, including loading, discharging, tank cleaning, and cargo-related safety procedures.
Conduct vessel inspections, internal audits, and marine safety assessments.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with SIRE 2.0 and TMSA requirements.
Assist in the preparation and follow-up of external inspections, including SIRE, Port State Control, and Flag State inspections.
Investigate marine incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Provide technical and operational guidance to vessel Masters and senior officers.
Liaise with charterers, terminals, classification societies, and relevant maritime authorities.
