Chief Accountant at Avlida Hotel

A.N. Stasis Estates PLC, a Real Estate and Hotel Company, is looking to hire a Chief Accountant.

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for the overall management of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory and tax requirements, and the effective supervision of accounting operations. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, oversee the accounting team, and support the Chief Financial Officer in strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
• Supervise, train, and support the accounting team.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, VAT regulations, and Company policies.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and the general ledger.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure timely submission of VAT, tax, and other statutory returns.
• Maintain effective financial controls and improve accounting processes.
• Support the Chief Financial Officer with financial planning and strategic initiatives.
