Position: Accountant

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus (on-site)

Employment: Full-time

 

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Accountant to join a growing international financial services firm. The role offers exposure to both local and international clients, modern accounting technologies, flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting records for a portfolio of local and international clients using modern accounting software.
  • Perform regular reconciliations covering bank accounts, receivables, payables and general ledger balances.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with other relevant tax filings and submissions.
  • Support the payroll process and related administrative activities.
  • Communicate with clients and relevant government authorities when necessary.
  • Ensure accounting information and financial records are maintained accurately and up to date.

 

Technology & Professional Development

  • Work with cloud-based accounting platforms and modern digital accounting tools.
  • Gain exposure to automated and AI-supported bookkeeping processes.
  • Develop practical knowledge of how technology and automation are changing the accounting profession.
  • Build digital accounting skills that can support long-term career development.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • LCCI Higher or an equivalent accounting qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Good analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience would be an advantage.
