Accountant at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Accountant.

Salary:

• €28,000–€38,000 gross per year, depending on qualifications and relevant experience

Employment type:

• Full-time

Work arrangement:

• On-site in Paphos.

Main duties:

• Maintain accounting records and process invoices, receipts and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and reconcile bank, supplier and customer balances.
• Allocate property-development costs to the correct projects and monitor expenditure against budgets.
• Track contractor payments, buyer deposits, instalments and outstanding balances.
• Prepare month-end reports, accounting schedules and cash-flow updates.
• Prepare VAT workings and supporting documentation with external advisers.
• Support audit preparation, liaise with external accountants and auditors and maintain organised financial files and payment approvals.

Requirements:

• Previous accounting experience in real estate, property development or construction is essential.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Practical knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end reporting and project-cost allocation.
• Working knowledge of Cyprus VAT, strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
• Good written and spoken English; Greek is advantageous.
• Accuracy, discretion and ability to manage deadlines independently; ACCA or ACA study or qualification is advantageous.
