Teacher Assistant at Montessori Training Centre & Child’s Workshop Kindergarten

In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher and assistants. All classrooms include indoor-outdoor work-space. In your position as Assistant your role will be communicating closely with the Lead Teacher and management on the Montessori / EYFS environment and insight into teach child’s individual progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher: Support the teacher by helping with lesson plans, carrying out activities, and working with individual students or small groups.
• Supervise children: Oversee children during various times, including meal times, recess, nap time, and other activities.
• Maintain a safe environment: Ensure the classroom, playground, and other areas are clean and safe for children.

Daily and personal care duties

• Manage meals and snacks: Help prepare and serve snacks or lunch, set up and clear tables, and assist children with their food and drinks.
• Handle hygiene and personal needs: Assist with basic hygiene like handwashing, and help with toileting or changing diapers when necessary.

Clean-up and organization

• Tidy the classroom: Assist with tidying up the room after activities, cleaning surfaces, and putting away supplies.
• Clean up after meals: Help children clean up after eating by packing up lunches, clearing tables, and sweeping floors.
• Maintain supplies: Help with keeping classroom materials organized and report any issues with furniture or equipment. 

Hours of Work Monday to Friday 12.00-17.30
