The University of Limassol is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join its Academic Affairs Department as a Student Support Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth/efficient operation/administration of program/course schedules, including the provision of support/assistance both to students and instructors, the preparation of the relevant course material, Moodle pages and the management of course-related logistics along with classroom allocation/set-up, including technical support and troubleshooting, when needed, in close collaboration with maintenance/facilities and the IT department.
  • Answering incoming telephone/email enquiries from students, on a daily basis, and offering exceptional customer service, while ensuring the continuous enforcement of UoL’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Providing a wide range of administrative support to students, covering their life cycle from registration to graduation, such as: induction/orientation processes, welcome emails and log-in credentials, enrolment to courses, maintenance of student, attendance and assessment records, announcement of grades, issuing of degrees, transcripts and letters of certification for various purposes, receiving and processing of payments when necessary, attending Orientation Days, Graduation Ceremonies etc. 
  • Providing administrative assistance and reporting to the Registrar and Admin Office Manager. Creating/maintaining filing systems and accurate course records, managing correspondence and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes.
  • Performing any other related tasks, as and when required and delegated.

Requirements

  •  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
  •  Fluency in both English and Greek, written and verbal, is a must. 
  •  High level of IT literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.   
  •  Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.   
  • Capability to work efficiently under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and respond effectively to changing needs and demands. 
  • Highly service-oriented with great attention to detail. 
  • Analytical, organized, with exceptional problem-solving skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.   
  • Hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated with a mature, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong team player with high levels of responsibility and professionalism able to work independently towards a common goal.
  • Prior experience in the field will be considered an advantage.
