NovaMechanics is looking for a full-time developer to support the implementation, validation, and quality assurance (QA) of statistical, machine-learning, and mathematical modeling algorithms for the Isalos Analytics Platform, our data analytics software solution.

 What you’ll do

• Develop and implement analytics algorithms, including: inferential statistics, Generalized Linear Models (GLM), survival analysis, and non-parametric statistical tests

• Implement predictive modeling and ML workflows: training, validation, model performance evaluation, robust metrics, and correct interpretation of outputs (using Isalos Analytics Platform)

• Develop and implement advanced optimization and automation capabilities, including: Bayesian optimization, variable selection / feature selection, and AutoML workflows

• Support mathematical modeling components, including differential equations (ODE/PDE-based modeling and numerical approaches)

• Build automated data-quality and assumption checks, including: normality testing, homoscedasticity checks, and variance diagnostics

• Perform QA and validation across all implemented methods: automated testing and regression testing, verification against trusted benchmarks/references, and ensuring reliability, reproducibility, and correct interpretation of outputs

• Document methods clearly to support correct usage by end-users

 Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics (or a closely related field) — BSc, MSc, or PhD welcome

• Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn

• Ability to work in a structured, quality-driven software development environment

• No prior industrial experience required
