Special Scientist – Research Fellow at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Special Scientist – Research Fellow.

Salary:

– €2,383 gross monthly

Employment type:

– Full-time, 140 hours per month, on an 18-month contract

Work arrangement:

– On-site research in Nicosia

Main duties:

– Conduct theoretical research in QCD resummation and double-parton scattering in proton-proton collisions.

– Study effective-field-theory frameworks for searches for new physics at the Large Hadron Collider.

– Prepare scientific papers describing the research results.

– Present work at scientific conferences and workshops.

Requirements:

– PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics.

– Research experience in QCD phenomenology, especially double-parton scattering and/or QCD resummation, is highly desirable.

– Residence in Cyprus on a full-time basis throughout the employment period.

– Employment cannot begin for a person who has reached age 65.

Schedule:

– 140 working hours per month.

Benefits:

– Fixed-term contract lasting 18 months.

– There is no 13th salary provision.
