Special Scientist (Research) at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Special Scientist (Research).

Salary:

– €2,200–€3,800 gross per month, depending on experience, qualifications and duties.

– Statutory contributions are deducted, and the 13th salary is incorporated into the stated amount.

Employment type:

– Full-time, 12-month contract with possible renewal

Work arrangement:

– On-site in Nicosia

Main duties:

– Conduct research on advanced characterisation of photovoltaic technologies.

– Design and optimise indoor and outdoor experiments on PV performance and ageing.

– Analyse laboratory and field datasets using statistical methods.

– Develop standardised measurement protocols for emerging PV technologies.

– Prepare publications, technical reports and conference presentations.

– Coordinate research activities, milestones and deliverables and support junior researchers.

Requirements:

– PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

– Proven research experience in photovoltaics or solar-energy systems.

– English proficiency at C1 level.

– Experience with PV characterisation, ageing tests, Python or semiconductor simulation tools is an advantage.

– Ability to work effectively in a team.

Schedule:

– 140 working hours per month.
