We are working closely with a highly successful and well-established organisation in the hospitality sector, with many years of industry experience. On their behalf, we are currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their team in Nicosia.

The successful candidate will support the Head/Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, leading the culinary team, and maintaining high standards of food production.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen Operations
• Oversee daily food preparation, coordinate the flow of service, and assume full responsibility for kitchen operations when the Head Chef is absent
• Quality and Compliance
• Maintain consistent standards in taste and presentation while ensuring full compliance with food safety requirements and HACCP hygiene procedures
• Team Supervision
• Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, prepare work schedules, and promote a collaborative working environment
• Stock and Cost Management
• Monitor inventory levels, manage ingredient requests, reduce food waste, and ensure operations remain within the allocated departmental budget

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment or high-end restaurant setting
• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related professional kitchen certification
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine, food costing, and local health and safety standards
• Good command of the English language
