Senior Systems Administrator (8421) at CareerFinders Recruitment Services Ltd.

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an EU & UK regulated Electronic Money Institution with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Administrator to join their growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering efficient IT support, administering SaaS platforms, maintaining cloud and local infrastructure, and ensuring seamless IT operations across multiple office locations. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field, who possess approximately 5+ years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or systems engineering. Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments is essential, with any knowledge of Linux considered a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Administer, deploy, and optimize SaaS platforms.
• Utilize Jira (or similar) to manage service desk tickets, track SLAs, and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure accurate logging of incidents, changes, and user requests in alignment with ITIL practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
• Establish and maintain IT policies and procedures that promote effective governance and risk management.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify their IT needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the IT team.
• Oversee and manage all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
• Regularly review and upgrade the company’s technology infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Ensure the security of the company’s IT systems by implementing best practices for data protection, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with Operational Security to identify risks and perform remediation activities.
• Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• As part of a dynamic team, the successful candidate may occasionally support other functions within the department based on changing priorities or business needs.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in system administration, IT operations, or systems engineering.
• Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments is essential.
• Proven experience in enterprise IT systems administration and SaaS platform management.
• Solid knowledge of both cloud infrastructure and on-premise systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience in Linux administration is a plus.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CCNA, and/or RHCE are a plus.
• Fluency in both verbal and written Greek and English.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
