Senior Java Developer – Payment Platform at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Senior Java Developer – Payment Platform.

Salary:

• €59,400–€72,600 per year

Main duties:

• Develop secure payment components with Java 18–25 and Spring using clear SOLID design principles.
• Build services with PostgreSQL or MySQL, JPA, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Implement JWT and OAuth authentication, cryptographic signatures, hashing and encryption in line with OWASP guidance.
• Create unit and integration tests and maintain Maven or Gradle, artifact-repository, CI/CD, Docker and cloud workflows.
• Assess technical feasibility and investigate production incidents, performance issues and root causes.
• Refactor and modernise existing components and improve resilience, automation and observability.
• Review code, mentor colleagues and use AI-assisted engineering tools within agreed controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Between 4 and 8 years of professional Java development with strong Spring experience.
• Sound knowledge of relational databases, caching, asynchronous messaging and distributed services.
• Experience with secure API design, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker and cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, code-review and collaboration skills.
• Payments or fintech experience is preferred.
