We are looking to hire a Senior Developer (C# / .NET — REST APIs & Integrations) Based in Greece (Hybrid/Remote Role)|Position Code: SDV – 0826 About VIPA VIPA is a European multinational company, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a rapidly expanding Paper and Board Division and a leading position in the global recycling and recovered material trading.
You’ll own the layer that holds our systems together — designing and building the REST APIs and the bridges that move data between our Oracle 19c core, our Magic / C# .NET applications, and the external platforms the business depends on: customers, suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party services.
This is a senior role.
Beyond writing good code, we expect you to make design decisions, set standards the rest of the team can follow, and be the person who makes integrations reliable rather than merely working.
If you enjoy the hard parts of integration — contracts, failure handling, reconciliation, performance — this role is built around them.
Why VIPA? For us, each and every team member is special and important, and this is the reason why we invest in education, training, personal and professional growth.
We offer great working conditions in a multinational environment, in a dynamic and fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in C# / .NET — clear contracts, versioning, authentication, sensible error handling, and documentation the consuming teams can actually use.
Build and own the bridges between systems: integrations between our ERP and Magic applications, Oracle 19c, and external partner platforms — REST, SOAP, file-based, and message-driven.
Handle the hard parts of integration properly: retries, idempotency, error queues, reconciliation, logging, and monitoring, so that failures are visible and recoverable rather than silent.
Work close to the data — write efficient SQL, read and extend PL/SQL where needed, and design staging and interface structures with data integrity in mind.
Turn business requirements into sound technical designs, and document them clearly for the team.
Investigate and fix bugs; profile and tune slow endpoints, jobs, and queries.
Take part in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback — and help set the standards that keep quality high across the team.
Write and run unit and integration tests, and support integration and user-acceptance testing through to release.
Deploy and support services in Azure and work with CI/CD pipelines.
Follow good practice around data security, integrity, and access — authentication, authorisation, secrets handling, and audit — as part of everyday development.
Share what you know and support less experienced developers in the team.
