A prestigious 5★ hotel in Cyprus is seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer to join its team on a permanent basis.

Job Role

The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees and property, while supporting the smooth and secure operation of the hotel.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Patrol the hotel premises regularly to ensure the safety of guests, employees and property
• Monitor public areas and hotel facilities for any suspicious activity or security concerns
• Prevent and detect unauthorized access or intrusion
• Ensure doors, windows, gates, storage areas and other designated areas are properly secured
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or unusual incidents
• Record and report security incidents, irregularities and hazardous conditions
• Liaise with hotel management regarding security, fire and health & safety matters
• Assist in maintaining appropriate security and fire-safety procedures
• Handle difficult or potentially aggressive situations calmly and professionally
• Contact emergency services, local authorities or police when required
• Ensure unauthorized individuals do not enter restricted hotel areas
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding Security, Fire Safety, Hygiene and Health & Safety
• Carry out all duties professionally, ethically and in accordance with Cyprus legislation

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a 5★ hotel environment
• Certified Security Officer
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Knowledge of Greek or additional languages will be considered an advantage
• Professional, trustworthy and responsible personality
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Availability to work shifts when required
