SALES & MARKETING ASSISTANT MANAGER at SIGMA BAKERIES LTD

The company:

 

Sigma Bakeries, a fast-growing bakery/confectionary business with activities that are mainly concentrated in Limassol, wishes to fill the above vacancy. The group’s outlets range from traditional bakeries to the latest in takeaway sandwich bars and cafeterias.

Sigma Bakeries now have an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Marketing professional to join our team to head the Sales and Marketing function. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to accelerate his/her career and to help define and shape the growth of the company.

The job: 

• Reporting to the MD, you will be tasked with increasing sales from our retail outlets.
• Accountable for the efficient management of the sales and marketing function and more specifically bears responsibility for sales results and growth targets of the chain of outlets
• Works against set and pre-agreed objectives and is accountable for results
• Works closely with production, suppliers and associates
• Ensure that all staff within the sales function perform efficiently and meet targets
• Identifies new product lines and manage all in store promotions / and POS merchandising.
• Implements the sales & marketing strategy.
• Monitors sales culture and implement corrective solutions.
• Identifies new wholesale markets and continue to build the business.
• Carries overall responsibility for the whole sales and Marketing operations

Qualifications & Candidate Specification: 

• University degree (preferably in marketing, business, etc.)
• Demonstrated managerial success and strong leadership
• Skills: Strong understanding of sales and sales trends. IT Literate and its impact on sales
• Personality: trustworthiness, ambition/dynamism, co-operation, and willingness to work long and often unsociable hours, including evening and weekends is common.
• Extensive knowledge of the Retail Operations management or Food sector along with a strong merchandising and marketing background. At least two years relevant experience
• Commercially aware and astute
• Ability to manage teams of in-store staff
• Capability and experience in developing and promoting new product lines
• Good communicator & Analytical person (problem-solving)
• In-depth Sales & Marketing knowledge
