Research Technical Assistant – 3D Cultural Heritage at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Research Technical Assistant – 3D Cultural Heritage.

Salary:

• €24,882.65 annually as the starting salary

Employment type:

• Full-time; initial 12 months, renewable subject to performance and funding.

Work arrangement:

• Based in Nicosia, with flexible and remote working options.

Main duties:

• Create 3D models and scenes of historic buildings, archaeological sites and cities for architectural research and heritage virtual reality.
• Develop interactive and immersive visualisation environments and contribute to existing VR applications.
• Troubleshoot application issues and identify opportunities for further research and development.
• Optimise 3D meshes for VR and process data for real-time rendering.
• Apply advanced rendering and visualisation methods and basic Unity experience.
• Support research and collaborative research activities.

Requirements:

• Essential experience and proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering engines.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Creativity, motivation, resourcefulness and a solution-focused approach.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability in a multicultural environment.
• A degree in Architecture, Design, Computer Science, Computer Graphics or a related area is advantageous.
• A Master’s degree, Autodesk 3ds Max or Rhino experience, interactive visualisation and research experience are preferred.
