NALU Hotel in Latsi is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to provide exceptional service and ensure a smooth experience for guests during their stay.
Job Summary:
The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, assisting with arrivals and departures, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role supports the Head Receptionist and ensures high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply arrivals and departures procedures, ensuring guests are checked in and out efficiently.
- Verify daily room allocations and report any pending arrivals or departures to the Head Receptionist.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, facilities, events, and local transport options to assist guests effectively.
- Conduct shift handovers, receiving updates from the previous shift and briefing the next.
- Check and manage the cash float accurately.
- Control reception area lighting and music to create a welcoming environment.
- Report pending repairs or damages to the Head Receptionist and escalate unresolved issues to Maintenance.
- Stay informed about exchange rates, weather forecasts, and availability of brochures and guest information.
- Monitor room availability to sell or upgrade rooms, maximizing average room rates.
- Issue and verify all departure invoices before presenting them to guests.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and professional at all times.
- Maintain both incident and daily logbooks.
- Follow hotel Health & Safety rules and GDPR requirements.
- Adhere to accident reporting procedures for guests and staff.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to Front Office operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Pleasant and professional personality.
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Diploma from a recognized Hotel School or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests effectively.
- Knowledge of front office procedures and hotel operations.
- Commitment to Health & Safety and GDPR compliance.
