Job Description: We are seeking a skilled, experienced general maintenance technician to add to our maintenance team tasked with ensuring that all company facilities, from retail stores to headquarters, are safe and in good working order. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of and experience in technical areas such as:

• Electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
• Refrigeration systems and equipment repairs
• Construction works/repairs
• Repair of production machines and equipment

(ovens/mixers/production lines etc)

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned maintenance work for buildings, equipment and machinery aiming for their optimal performance and long-term use.
• Regular inspections aimed at spotting potential issues early and taking preventative measures to resolve them.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests, resolving and/or coordinating the resolution of issues related to electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations while performing work-related tasks.
• Carrying out small-scale maintenance and construction work on commercial or professional premises.

 

Qualifications:

• Certifications for electrical works or similar technical qualifications are preferred but equivalent experience will also be taken into consideration.
• Proven experience – 5+ years total – gained preferably within the food industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC fault detection and ability to coordinate repairs.
• Adept with electrical, plumbing and minor construction maintenance repairs and fault detection.
• Comfortable working with maintenance management applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, always conscious of occupational health and safety.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
