Role Description:

Reports To: COO/CEO

Employment Type: Full-time

The Maintenance Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the company, ensuring that equipment, facilities, and systems remain in optimal working condition. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and efficient resource management to maintain high operational standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management: Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team, assign tasks, and ensure efficiency.
• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Repairs & Troubleshooting: Oversee diagnostics and resolution of technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Budget & Resource Allocation: Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure proper procurement of tools and supplies.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct routine inspections and audits.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and upgrades.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and improve performance.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in maintenance management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance procedures, tools, and safety regulations.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex mechanical and technical problems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in maintenance or facilities management.
• Certifications in maintenance-related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems) are advantageous.
• Fluent in Greek language.
