Junior Operations Specialist (Global Freight Forwarding) at GAP VASSILOPOULOS GROUP

GAP Vassilopoulos Group one of the 25 biggest employers in Cyprus, is currently seeking to recruit a Junior Operations Specialist (Global Freight Forwarding) to be based in the Head Offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Operations Specialist (Global Freight Forwarding) to join our freight forwarding team. This entry-level role supports the daily coordination of shipments and helps ensure the smooth movement of cargo across international and domestic supply chains.

The successful candidate will work closely with the operations and sales teams, gaining hands-on experience in freight forwarding while developing strong organizational and communication skills.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating air and ocean freight shipments.
• Support the operations team in monitoring shipment progress and tracking updates.
• Update shipment information in internal systems.
• Communicate with customers and partners regarding shipment status when required.
• Assist the sales team with operational information for quotations.
• Help maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
• Liaise with agents, customs brokers, and vendors under the guidance of senior team members.
• Learn company procedures and industry practices through training and daily operations.
• Support the team in resolving shipment issues or delays.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
