Join a fast-paced and growing trading platform as a Junior Compliance Officer, supporting a regulated entity in The Bahamas. This role is ideal for someone early in their compliance career who is eager to develop expertise in financial regulation and risk management within a global fintech environment. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues to help apply complex regulatory requirements in a practical and proportionate manner, while managing multiple tasks across day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis: Assist in tracking and summarizing updates issued by the regulator and other relevant authorities. Support the interpretation and implementation of evolving regulatory obligations across business functions
  • Policy and Procedure Review: Help conduct periodic reviews of internal policies, procedures, and business operations for regulatory compliance. Contribute to maintaining and updating compliance and AML/CFT documentation to ensure alignment with applicable rules and standards
  • Onboarding & Due Diligence: Support the customer onboarding process by reviewing KYC documentation and ensuring adherence to AML/CFT requirements. Flag higher-risk clients and escalate appropriately for enhanced due diligence
  • Administrative & Reporting Assistance: Assist with preparing internal reports and documentation for regulatory submissions or audit requests. Maintain compliance registers and logs, including complaints, breaches, and monitoring findings
  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, balancing deadlines and quality across tasks that may range from document reviews to cross-departmental compliance support
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to compliance activities, track trends, and produce insightful reports for senior management. Present findings, recommendations, and key performance indicators to support informed decision-making.
  • Compliance Support and Approvals: Provide advice and guidance to employees of various departments ranging from Customer Support to Back Office and Marketing, including approvals for marketing material, website content, and campaigns. Review all client communication to ensure this is in line with best practice and regulation.
  • Complaints Handling: Deal with client complaints effectively and efficiently. Compliance Enquiries: Respond to compliance enquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements to the compliance monitoring process by identifying areas for optimization and implementing innovative solutions to streamline procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a compliance, legal, or risk function within financial services
  • Understanding of financial regulatory principles and AML/CFT requirements
  • Ability to interpret complex rules and apply them practically and proportionately
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
