Junior AML/KYC Officer (8349) at CareerFinders Recruitment Services Ltd.
CareerFinders, on behalf of a client, a dynamic and long-established Law Firm, we are seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Junior AML/KYC Officer to join their growing Compliance Services department based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Compliance Officer with day-to-day tasks, including collecting and verifying KYC documents from new and existing clients, as well as communicating with clients to provide clarifications. An academic background relating to Law, Business, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage, with any prior experience in a similar position considered a plus, but not essential. A basic understanding of AML/KYC regulations and procedures is required, and fluency in both Greek and English is a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Compliance Officer with day-to-day tasks.
- Performing due diligence and client screening.
- Collecting and verifying KYC documents from new and existing clients and communicating with clients to provide clarifications.
- Updating clients’ profiles in internal systems.
- Assisting in the administration and opening of bank accounts.
- Processing payment instructions and liaising with banks.
- Executing manual payments on behalf of clients.
- Providing clients with confirmations, bank statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Supporting general accounting tasks and online payment activities.
- Using electronic payment platforms for daily operations.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Basic understanding of AML/KYC regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a client-centric approach.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Computer literate, especially in Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Fluent in both English and Greek.
