About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Administrator and Accountant to join our team in Skala Skips. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our skips business, handling administrative, financial, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience in credit control, and the ability to manage invoicing and accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Skip Locator: Track and manage the location and availability of skips.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and issue sales invoices in a timely manner.
  • Monthly Statements: Generate and send monthly customer account statements.
  • Credit Control: Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue payments, and ensure timely collection of monies.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare quarterly VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
  • Management Accounts: Produce monthly management accounts and reports to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in administration, bookkeeping, or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of credit control and invoicing processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel in particular).
  • Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken, is required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
