Junior Accountant at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Junior Accountant.

Salary:

• €17,000–€21,000 gross per year

Employment type:

• Full-time.

Work arrangement:

• On-site in Paphos.

Main duties:

• Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of local and international clients.
• Correspond with clients to collect information and respond promptly to requests.
• Prepare and process accounting entries and organise supporting records.
• Complete monthly bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations.
• Handle accruals and prepayments and maintain fixed-asset registers.
• Prepare management accounts and cash-flow statements.
• Process company payroll from start to finish.
• Prepare VIES and VAT returns and ensure payments are made on time.
• Maintain complete and properly archived documentation.
• Work with other departments on financial-reporting and tax assignments.
• Liaise with auditors and clients during audits and provide accurate information on time.
• Prepare provisional-tax estimates and periodically review client tax positions.

Requirements:

• LCCI Higher or Intermediate Certificate in Accounting, or Certified Accounting Technician qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
• Ability to meet work deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, numerical and teamwork skills.
• Excellent computer literacy.
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
