Job Vacancy: Accountant

We are currently seeking a high-calibre individual to join our team as a Head Accountant. Our company operates a boutique hotel, a restaurant, a travel agency, and other hospitality-related ventures.

Position Summary

We are looking for a results-oriented, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional with a strong background in accounting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and books
Ensure timely processing of accounting transactions to meet deadlines
Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable
Reconcile accounts payable and bank statements
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Calculate and process monthly payroll
Collaborate with external auditors during financial and operational audits
Perform other related accounting duties as required
Adhere to the company’s code of ethics and conduct

Candidate Profile

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry
Higher or Intermediate Diploma required; a Degree in Accounting or a related field will be considered an advantage
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent command of both Greek and English
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Pleasant and professional demeanor
