Hiring: Groups & MICE Officer

Location: Larnaca

Job Type: Permanent (5-day week, 9:00 – 17:00)

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated individual as Group & MICE Officer to organising and coordinating Group trips and events for tourists exploring the vibrant island of Cyprus, while maintaining and developing supplier and client relationships.

The role – Principal Responsibilities

 Quoting, organizing, coordinating and generally handling Group requests and group visits from partner travel agencies abroad.

 Develop new and strengthen existing business partnerships with travel agencies abroad.

 Develop new products and services to proactively promote and drive growth of the Group business of excursions and touristic events in Cyprus.

 Liaise with industry partners and suppliers to negotiate and manage contracts of excursions and touristic events in Cyprus.

 Manage group event budgets, process bookings, and handle administrative documentation accurately.

Experience working within a similar role within the travel & tourism industry shall be considered as an advantage.

Qualifications

 BA or College degree in Tourism Management, Business, Hotel Management, Economics, Finance or related fields is a pre-requisite

 Experience in the hospitality sector is considered a plus

 Excellent IT literacy skills and a proficient computer user

 Good command for the English language is a must

 Knowledge of a foreign language may also be considered as an advantage (French, German, Spanish, Polish)

 Driver’s licence is essential as the role requires you to travel within Cyprus
