Financial Controller (Maternity Cover) at Golden Careers Recruitment

Our client, a group of companies within the software development industry with offices in Limassol, Cyprus, is currently looking for a financial controller for maternity cover from (August 2025 – March 2026). The successful candidate will have at least three years of previous experience is a similar position, experience with payroll and knowledge of SAP accounting software, QuickBooks Online.

Job Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping/ Review of accounting records in SAP Business One/ Quickbooks Online
• Review/Preparation of VAT and VIES returns/calculations
• Review of monthly payroll calculations at Easysoft payroll software
• Preparation of monthly payroll forms for submission with the Social Insurance Office and Tax Authorities
• Perform monthly reconciliations of Bank Accounts, Debtor/Creditor accounts, Fixed Assets.
• Responsible for external audit
• Handling companies tax matters
• Preparation of monthly reporting for each company of the group
• Preparation of ad hoc reports as requested by management
• Assist on ad hoc tasks
• Reporting directly to the CFO of the group

Requirements

• Qualified certified/ chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA)
• At least three years of previous experience is a similar position
• Payroll experience is a must
• Knowledge of SAP accounting software, QuickBooks Online is a must.
• Knowledge of Easysoft payroll software will be considered as an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Able to work with limited supervision
• Fluency in English, verbal and writing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
