Design Coordinator at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Design Coordinator.

Salary:

• €50,000–€60,000 yearly

Work arrangement:

• Based in Episkopi, with work across British Bases in Cyprus

Main duties:

• Act as the focal point for design matters and coordinate internal and external designers.
• Manage preliminary and detailed designs for additional works and engage suitable external consultants when needed.
• Review designs against building regulations, British Standards, Eurocodes, technical guidance and safety requirements.
• Identify and mitigate design risks under CDM rules and address waste, traffic, environmental and sustainability matters early.
• Maintain an issues register, lead coordination sessions and monitor design reports and drawings against agreed Maximo dates.
• Escalate unavoidable delays, support controlled-works approvals and provide technical assistance to operational teams.

Requirements:

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 10 years of civil or structural engineering experience with substantial design exposure.
• Working knowledge of Eurocodes, National Annexes, British Standards, health-and-safety law and CDM regulations.
• Excellent English, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, produce concise documentation and work within a quality-controlled environment.
• Strong MS Office skills; chartered status as a Civil Engineer or Architect is an advantage.
