Compliance Assistant

Dart Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Compliance Assistant on behalf of a fully regulated investment firm based in Nicosia. This role will support the Head of Compliance and the wider Compliance function, contributing to the firm’s ongoing adherence to regulatory obligations under the CySEC framework.
This position is ideal for a detail oriented professional with a strong interest in regulatory compliance and financial services.
Working Hours
• 09:00 to 18:00 including one hour break
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation and execution of the Compliance Monitoring Programme to identify and mitigate regulatory risks
• Assist in the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports to CySEC and other relevant authorities
• Support the review and updating of internal compliance manuals, policies and procedures
• Assist in monitoring customer service activities and marketing communications
• Support the investigation, evaluation and response to client complaints
• Maintain accurate and up to date compliance registers including complaints, marketing, third parties and GDPR
• Assist in the preparation of compliance training materials and maintenance of staff training records
• Monitor new legislation, circulars and updates from CySEC and ESMA and provide summaries to senior management
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the Compliance Department
• Perform ad hoc compliance duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance
Candidate Profile
• University degree in Law, Finance, Economics or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Additional Qualifications Considered an Advantage
• Previous experience in a compliance role within a CIF or the wider financial services sector
• CySEC Certification
• Knowledge of MiFID II
