Newly established Investment Firm , located in the heart of Athens, Greece, with a distinct academic and industry-related backgrounds, offering unique perspectives across asset classes and global markets is currently interested in recruiting an Commodity Specialist .

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide commodity tax support to Accounts Payable and other business units

• Train internal business partners to accurately code accounts payable transactions

• Manage government audits and lead the related information gathering under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Commodity Taxation

• Identify and investigate sales tax related discrepancies/errors and follow up with appropriate business partners

• Further you conduct business analyses of the entire portfolio, collaborate with Commodity Leaders to formulate sourcing strategies and support negotiations with the suppliers to manage fulfillment and cycle times and ensure quality, cost and delivery requirements are met from supply base

• Pursuing the company’s sourcing strategies and material cost reduction initiatives you continually evaluate market conditions and monitor supplier performance to assure that all suppliers meet or beat the required price, quality and service level

• To ensure regular assessments of suppliers’ quality, supply chain reliability and financial capabilities are carried out

• Demonstrate capability as a supply chain, supplier and market expert recognized across business units and functions

• Support integration of new sites into the global strategy

• You will be leading and supporting initiatives related to Quality, Cost, Delivery and Development of suppliers

Qualifications

• Highest level of personal, professional, and ethical conduct

• 3+ years of experience in international strategic procurement, ideally operational experience

• Fluent in English (written and verbal) for negotiations and business communication

• Bachelor level university or college degree in Business Administration/ Economics or Business and Engineering

• Serving as a technical focal for special or high visibility audits and assessments of supplier’s systems, processes and products

Key Skills/Experience:

• Actively engage in personal development support / coach development of other team members to ensure overall team success

• Support market data analysis about Fab Capital Equipment spending, market share

• Negotiates and maintains cost effective inventory management by effectively assessing peak demand for parts and assets, key components

• Develops supplier performance through use of action plans and supplier management tools such as score cards

• Analytical – Strong analytical abilities to assess the performance of suppliers against criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, ability to innovate and financial stability

• Negotiation/Influence – Ability to persuade others
