Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Operations Officer located in Limassol Municipality. The Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for overseeing all business operations, managing day-to-day activities, and implementing strategic plans to ensure the success of Sigma Bakeries Ltd.Often seen as the backbone of an organization, the COO will be responsible for translating the CEO’s vision into actionable plans significantly impacting overall organizational performance with effective resource management.

Responsibilities

The COO is a crucial role within the company, acting as the right-hand person to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Operational Oversight: The COO manages the daily administrative and operational functions of the business, ensuring that all departments work efficiently and effectively.
Strategy Execution: While the CEO focuses on long-term goals and vision, the COO is responsible for executing these strategies through tactical decisions and operational improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: The COO works closely with other executives and department heads to align strategies, optimize processes, and enhance productivity across the organization.
Performance Monitoring: They monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of operations and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
Resource Management: The COO is responsible for managing operational budgets and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.

Qualifications

To be effective in this role, the successful candidate will have a combination of the following skills:
Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills essential for managing teams and driving organizational success.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry in which Sigma Bakeries operates with long-term experience in a similar leadership position within it.
Analytical Skills: Ability to effectively collect and analyse data to make informed decisions crucial for optimizing operations. Budgeting and resource management skills essential.
Communication Skills: Effective communication is necessary for collaborating with other executives and ensuring alignment across departments. Ability in turning concept into action.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
