CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established importer and distributor of Wines and Spirits to companies operating in the hospitality sector across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and brand visibility for the company’s wine and spirits portfolio. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, executing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Our client is seeking applicants who possess proven experience in Sales or Business Development, preferably within the wines and spirits or FMCG industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and have a passion for wines and spirits. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, based on skills and experience. With offices in Nicosia, our client is open to both onsite and/or remote working options for the right candidate within Cyprus.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across with clients across Cyprus.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, hotels, restaurants, bars, and key accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth.
  • Lead contract negotiations, and pricing strategies along with Senior Management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and product development.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure alignment and service excellence.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably within the wines and spirits or FMCG industry.
  • Strong industry network and understanding of the alcoholic beverage markets here in Cyprus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
  • A Passion for wines and spirits with a good understanding of product and category nuances.
