Brokerage Assistant

Location: Nicosia or Limassol, Cyprus

Employment Type: Temporary contract (6 months) with potential for permanent employment

Dart Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Brokerage Assistant on behalf of a fully regulated Cyprus Investment Firm. This role is offered on a six month temporary basis, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic Brokerage team and support daily trading operations, regulatory compliance, and reporting obligations. This role is ideal for a detail oriented professional with a solid understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks.

Working Hours

The role may require participation in a rotational shift schedule:

• 09:00 to 18:00 including one hour break

• 11:00 to 20:00 including one hour break

Candidates must be comfortable working both shifts when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and transmit client orders and assist with trade execution

• Monitor and analyse client trading activity and exposure

• Follow financial markets developments and conduct market research

• Monitor and maintain compliance with EMIR REFIT and MiFIR reporting requirements

• Monitor and analyse parameters related to Best Execution obligations

• Collect data and assist in the preparation of reports for CySEC

• Support the drafting, implementation and monitoring of AML policies and procedures in cooperation with relevant departments

• Perform additional brokerage related duties as assigned by the Head of Brokerage

Candidate Profile

• University or College degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field

• Basic understanding of financial markets, trading concepts and brokerage operations

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including EMIR, MiFIR, AML and CySEC requirements

• Advanced MS Excel skills

• Strong analytical, numerical and problem solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies

• Strong sense of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Additional Qualifications Considered an Advantage

• CySEC Certification

• 1 to 2 years of experience in financial services, brokerage or compliance roles

• Experience with trading platforms and web traders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of additional languages

• Understanding of MiFID II and GDPR

• Familiarity with CySEC regulatory environment and reporting standards

• Experience working with audit teams or regulatory bodies

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced and international environment
