Role Overview The Barista / Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverage selections while delivering warm, professional, and personalized service.
The role ensures that the bar and café areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, manages POS transactions accurately, supports seamless service in collaboration with the wider hotel team, and actively promotes signature offerings, while fully complying with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Accountabilities Prepare and serve a wide range of high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, cocktails, and other drink selections, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional presentation.
Welcome guests warmly and engage with them professionally to understand preferences and provide personalized beverage recommendations.
Present and describe beverage offerings and menu items in an engaging, knowledgeable, and confident manner.
Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization in all bar and café areas, including equipment, glassware, tools, and workstations.
Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately through the hotel’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
Monitor, restock, and manage bar and café inventory, ensuring adequate supply levels and proper storage at all times.
Collaborate closely with the wider hotel team to ensure smooth service flow and timely beverage delivery, particularly during peak service periods.
Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
Assist with the setup, preparation, and breakdown of bar and café areas at the beginning and end of each shift.
Actively promote the hotel’s beverage offerings, including seasonal specials, signature drinks, and new menu items, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, including customized or special-order beverages, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
