CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an award-winning global Contract for Difference (CFD) and FX Broker, regulated by multiple authorities including CySEC here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Back-Office Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing daily operations related to client onboarding and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for reviewing client applications and conducting KYC checks, processing client deposits and withdrawals, monitoring account activities, and preparing reconciliation reports. Our client is seeking applicants who possess a minimum of 1+ year of experience in a similar role, gained working within the Financial Services sector. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written English, with any additional language skills considered an advantage. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, based on skills and experience. You should be able to work morning and afternoon shifts on a weekly basis, and be flexible to work on Cyprus Public holidays as required. Working days are from Monday to Friday, and shifts include 08:00 – 16:00 & 15:00 – 23:00.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily monetary routines including processing clients’ deposits and withdrawal requests and regularly reconcile and update records accordingly.
  • Reviewing and verifying client financial details and transaction records to ensure compliance with AML requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessment of client monetary transactions to identify potential fraud and other related issues and take necessary actions.
  • Assist in maintaining smooth global operations of the team and actively participate in cross department collaboration.
  • Liaise with external money processors and banks to handle transaction issues and disputes.
  • Effective implementation of Know your Client (KYC) procedure to all potential and existing Clients.
  • Work closely with compliance and internal audit departments, and prepare various regulatory reports related to back-office.
  • Preparation of daily reconciliation reports.

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • University degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance or similar is desirable, but not essential.
  • 1+ year of previous experience in a similar position within the Financial Services sector is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Experience in client onboarding and payment processing.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Eager to learn about the financial markets, CFD industry, and company’s trading platform.
  • Strong sense of integrity.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English and any additional language skills will be considered an advantage.
  • Able and willing to work on rotational shift-patterns to meet the demands of the business.
