What You’ll Do:
As an Audit & Tax Officer, you will be an essential member of our finance team, primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the Cyprus-based entities’ statutory, tax and VAT reporting obligations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Preparation of all necessary financial and statutory information required for the completion of the statutory audits of the Cyprus-based entities of the organization in coordination with external auditors.
- Maintain communication with external auditors for the smooth conduct of statutory audits.
- Preparation of information and financial workings required for the completion of the transfer pricing studies of the group to enable management to ensure that all inter-company arrangements conform with the arm’s length principle for Cyprus TP purposes.
- Conducting monthly reconciliation of the Cyprus-based entities’ balances with their related parties and their vendors.
- Calculation of provisional taxes for Cyprus-based entities.
- Review tax calculation per final audited FS and ensure accurate and timely submission of the Cyprus- based entities tax returns.
- Monitor tax compliance process for the Cyprus entities of the organisation.
- Assist the CFO with the work necessary for the completion of tax audits.
- Keep up to date with changes and developments in the local tax framework and advise CFO of possible implications for the organization.
- Preparation of supporting reports required for VAT return submissions.
- Other ad hoc audit and tax-related requests that might come from time to time from the CFO.
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CPA certification or relevant certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- At least 3-4 years of proven experience as a tax manager or similar position.
- Have a good understanding of Cyprus local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
- Analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheet formulation).
- Ability to work under pressure.
Working Schedule: on-site Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
