Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Associate Research Scientist in Machine Learning and AI-Driven Environmental Modelling.

Salary:

– €44,516.94 gross per year

Work arrangement:

– Hybrid

Main duties:

– Develop machine-learning, AI and data-driven models for environmental and climate applications.

– Analyse large environmental, Earth-observation and environmental-health datasets using high-performance computing.

– Advance methods for air-pollution and climate forecasting, impact assessment, downscaling and digital twins.

– Contribute to interdisciplinary research outputs and reusable computational tools.

Requirements:

– PhD in computational or data sciences, physics or another relevant discipline.

– Interdisciplinary expertise in atmospheric physics or chemistry, environmental health, modelling, machine learning or large-scale data analysis.

– Experience with mathematical or computational models, deep learning and high-performance computing.

– Ability to work across research disciplines and communicate complex quantitative findings.

Schedule:

– Full-time, 100% FTE.

– Initial 24-month contract, renewable subject to performance and funding.
