Assistant Crewing Commercial Manager at Alpha.Jobs

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Crewing Commercial Manager to join our Crewing Department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Shipping, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree will be considered an advantage
• Previous experience in budgeting, or accounting within the maritime or crewing industry will be considered an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good command of the English language

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of vessels’ crewing budgets in relation to new business
• Supporting the Business Development team in discussions with potential clients by presenting cost breakdowns and justifications for proposed budgets
• Assisting in preparing and reviewing agreements with new clients, making sure they reflect the agreed budgets and terms
• Liaising with internal departments and externals to validate cost inputs and assumptions used in budgets
• Continuously improving budgeting tools and templates to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Reviewing and monitoring the wage scales
• Annual benchmarking of wages and all crewing-related parameters, in preparation of budget renewal period
• Any other ad hoc tasks and projects in accordance with the instructions of the Crewing Commercial Manager
