What You’ll Do:

The AML Compliance Officer oversees the development and implementation of AML policies, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages AML risk assessments. They lead compliance initiatives, liaise with regulators, and support the organization in maintaining a strong culture of AML adherence.

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of the Company’s AML policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure robust compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and insights to the Head or Deputy Head of the Team, senior management, and external regulators, providing strategic guidance on AML compliance matters.
• Monitor, interpret, and assess current and upcoming regulatory developments, proactively updating policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
• Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of the AML Monitoring Program, escalating significant issues or breaches to senior management and ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Provide expert guidance and support in the formulation, review, and application of the Company’s compliance policies, manuals, and training programs.
• Foster a strong compliance culture across the organization through leadership, training, and ongoing awareness initiatives.
• Conduct high-level client account reviews and due diligence to identify and escalate suspicious activities, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations, representing the Company in AML compliance matters.
• Perform additional strategic or operational duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance/AML or senior leadership, contributing to the development of the compliance function.

Skills & Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or a related field; advanced or professional qualifications in AML or compliance are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in AML compliance within the financial services industry, including leadership or supervisory roles.
• Holder of the CySEC AML certification is a plus.
• Proven track record in developing, implementing, and overseeing AML programs and policies.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex compliance issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with regulators, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings clearly.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in all work activities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively under pressure.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools to support AML monitoring and reporting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a strategic mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Working Schedule:

• Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:00.
