Accounting Manager at Alpha.Jobs

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Accounting Manager.

Salary:

• €3,000–€3,100 monthly; the description also indicates gross annual remuneration of around €40,000

Employment type:

• Full-time

Work arrangement:

• Based at the group’s headquarters in Nicosia.

Main duties:

• Report to the Financial Controller and finalise accurate, complete trial balances for group companies.
• Oversee period-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries and resolution of discrepancies.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax rules.
• Ensure timely tax returns, VAT filings and other statutory submissions.
• Manage general-ledger, payables, receivables, payroll accounting and fixed assets.
• Coordinate financial processes with other departments and business objectives.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and lead the accounting team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline and/or a full or partial ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification.
• At least six years of experience and proven experience in a comparable position.
• Strong accounting-process, closing, reconciliation and financial-information preparation skills.
• Strong team orientation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, and experience with computerised accounting software.
• Management skills to develop teams, maintain accountability and organise accounting operations.
