Accountant / Accounting Officer

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Employment type: Full-time

Work arrangement: On-site

Salary: €1,600 – €2,000 / month

Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for an Accountant / Accounting Officer to join a professional services team in Limassol.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting books and record accounting transactions.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Handle income tax-related matters.
• Manage Social Insurance registrations and administration.
• Use TFA and Taxisnet systems.
• Communicate with clients, authorities and associates.
• Prepare professional correspondence in English and Greek.
• Handle bank reconciliations, debtor/creditor reconciliations and other accounting duties.
• Assist with payroll and administrative procedures when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an accounting firm or similar role.
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English.
• Good knowledge of TFA and Taxisnet.
• Knowledge of Social Insurance, VAT and Income Tax procedures.
• Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Strong organisational skills and responsibility.
