Responsibilities: Greet and escort customers to their tables Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies) Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses Offer menu recommendations upon request Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff Serve food and drink orders Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems Handle guest complaints and report them to supervisor Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area Deliver checks and collect bill payments Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning Use waiting equipment such as trays and trolleys Follow all relevant health department regulations Provide excellent customer service to guests Requirements High school Diploma or above.
Degree in Hospitality will be considered an asset At least 1 year working experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel Good knowledge and use of Greek and English both written and verbal (A second foreign language will be considered an asset) Knowledge of POS/PDA ordering software (HIT WebPos preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
