Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join the Sumosan team.
This is a key front-of-house role responsible for delivering elevated service that reflects our brand’s ethos of refined elegance and culinary excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for hospitality, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to guest engagement, ensuring each interaction is tailored, intuitive, and seamless.
Key responsibilities Deliver a warm, polished, and anticipatory service experience in alignment with Sumosan’s guest-centric values.
Welcome guests promptly, present menus, and clearly articulate daily specials and menu highlights.
Provide expert guidance on menu items, pairing recommendations, and dietary accommodations with confidence and finesse.
Accurately take and input orders using POS systems, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar teams.
Serve food and beverages with precision, upholding Sumosan’s standards for presentation and pace of service.
Maintain a pristine dining area, proactively addressing any needs throughout the service journey.
Resolve guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure full guest satisfaction.
Assist with mise en place, setup, and close-down duties to ensure operational readiness and service excellence.
Collaborate with team members and management to execute service plans and special event requirements seamlessly.
Qualifications Prior experience in upscale or fine-dining environments;
Japanese or Asian cuisine knowledge is highly advantageous.
Fluency in English; additional language capabilities are considered a strong asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport.
Familiarity with POS systems (Micros preferred) and restaurant service protocols Ability to remain poised and detail-focused in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
